Immigration

Immigration law is the name given to the branch of law that covers the admission of foreign nationals into Canada, their rights and responsibilities, and the conditions of their removal. The primary source of immigration law in Canada is the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.  The goals of this act include Canadian economic growth, family reunification and compliance with humanitarian treaties.
